Good morning, sorry for the bad translation but I don't know English well. Great guide, I installed MX Linux Ver.23 on Win 11 without problems. The operating systems work very well I only have one problem if I choose Windows Boot Manager from Grub at the next boot Grub no longer starts but only Win 11 starts. To start MX Linux I have to press F9 to enter the boot Manager, select the EFI file and navigate until I find the grubx64.efi file and MX Linux starts. To make the Grub menu reappear at PC startup I have to repair/reinstall the Grup in the Windows EFI partition from Linux and everything works. However, if I choose Windows Boot Manager again the problem repeats. I have a HP 15s-eq2xxxx laptop. Thanks for any help.

So I've two HDD one of which is SSD and other is old HDD (non-SSD type)... can I then make home subvol in SSD with encryption and attach the old HDD to that home to house like download files, media etc with encryption of its own ofcourse...

I install archlinux by connecting to a wireless network with iwctl, but I can't transfer the network configuration to where I installed it. When I open the archlinux I installed, there is no internet. I can't enter the necessary information without opening the desktop environment. Is it possible to transfer iwctl's network information to the wpa_supplicant where I installed it or copy it?

This is actually a very good quick guide. There are better alternatives if you're only using linux systems, but samba is still better if you need to share with many windows pcs, especially if not all Windows pcs are up to date.

After rebooting, I didn't see grub but was asked for passphrase for hd0,gptX (uuid_of_nvme_partition)' and when I type the passphrase that we setup in cryptsetup luksFormat command, I'm getting this error "disk 'cryptouuid/(uuid_of_nvme_partition)' not found." Please help.

I had been running Arch Linux with KDE Plasma for many months after using your install process. With latest update I get the black screen of death when booting up. Are you having any problems with latest Plasma release? I also did a complete reinstall and it worked for about a day, then the same problem occurred. I will give it one last try and if that fails, will try another desktop besides plasma.

If I may ask a question; I already did this format about 9 months ago and installed Debian 12 Cinamom, but as my hardware is 12 years old, I'm going to install a minimal installation with Icewm. (I put everything in one partition like in your example.) The question is, I wanted to do it with a SEPARATE HOME on another partition and I would like to know if the process is the same as "# umount" for both partitions? My BIOS is Legacy and I noticed that there is no EFI option when manually dividing the SSD... is this a problem? Hugs and success!

I'm not using a virtual machine so when I try to mount things I get errors such as ' Mount point does not exist,' etc. for context I'm using an arch install image and trying to replicate what youre doing in this video exactly. I suspect that the behavior in the virtual environment is not exactly the same as if you are using an install medium. I'm using ventoy USB with the grub2 configuration because the first grub option offered by the arch install ISO does not work with ventoy.

i did a pacman -Syu and while upgrading and got logged out. i think it interrupted the upgrade process. hopefully my linux kernel didn't get deleted during the apparently failed upgrade process since i got the missing kernel message at boot time. going to try this to see if it helps.

Amazing man just became an Arch User only after 6 hours of auto install and then said to myself I can learn this and installed it along side windows and practice installing it in a VM. ❤
